Since Shooter has incredibly selective hearing (according to the trainer, he’s going through his “teen” years, which immediately put things into perspective), I hooked him up to his leash and we went outside for a photo shoot. This is his first winter, and he enjoys trying to catch snowflakes. He also learned that, if he runs too quickly down a hill and uses the length of his leash, he’ll face plant in the snow (hence the snow on his muzzle).
Does your dog enjoy the snow? Is he trained to listen while off-leash? According to my dad, someone recently lost two German Shepherds while they were taking a walk in the mountains. It’s a good thing Maddie’s always on her leash. . . .
